Temu Affiliate Program Web Redesign

This project focuses on redesigning the Temu Affiliate Program landing page and personal account page on both Web and H5 platforms. The goal is to improve usability, optimize the information hierarchy, and create a clearer and more engaging user experience while enhancing brand recognition.

My Role

As the UX Designer, I optimized the Temu Affiliate Program landing and account pages for Web and H5. I restructured the user flow, improved visual hierarchy, and emphasized key incentives to enhance engagement and conversions. The redesign focused on clarity, branding, and a seamless "Easy to Join, Easy to Earn" experience.

1. Problem Statement

Through UX analysis, several usability and design issues were identified in the original design:

  • Lack of visual appealThe original page lacked strong visual hierarchy and engaging elements.

  • Unclear information structureImportant content was scattered, requiring better organization.

  • Weak emphasis on incentivesThe benefits of joining the program were not highlighted effectively.

  • User flow complexityThe joining process was not intuitive, and some sections caused navigation confusion.

  • Missed engagement opportunitiesSocial proof elements such as influencer participation were not optimally presented.

2. Design Goals

The redesign aimed to:

✔ Establish a unique brand voice – Strengthen brand identity with clearer messaging and structured layout.
✔ Accelerate growth – Improve conversion rates by making the sign-up process more intuitive.
✔ Highlight program benefits – Emphasize financial incentives and ease of participation.
✔ Enhance engagement – Leverage influencer credibility to attract more users.
✔ Simplify the joining process – Improve information flow for a seamless user experience.

3. Design Solutions

🔹 Landing Page Key Enhancements:

The orange section (Header) serves as the main visual hook, crucial for a marketing-driven page. The original version had a text + banner format with weak visual hierarchy. The redesign adopts a left-right layout, placing key messaging on the left and an illustration on the right to reinforce brand identity. This immediately communicates that joining the program equals making money.

The blue section (Joining Process) was previously buried in the layout, making it harder for users to understand. Now, it’s placed at the top, clearly presenting the three-step process—Join, Invite, Earn—using an icon + number + keyword format. This makes it easier to grasp and reinforces the “Easy to Join” concept.

The green section (Benefits) originally had a side-by-side layout that lacked hierarchy. The redesign introduces a left-right format with a Temu-branded character illustration, making the benefits more structured. High commission is prioritized, followed by inclusivity ("Anyone Can Join"), ease of earning, and brand trust. This order ensures users see the most attractive incentives first.

The yellow-orange section (Influencer Display) was weak in the original version, failing to create social proof. The new design highlights influencer follower counts and standardizes this across Web and H5 to boost credibility and engagement.

This structured approach improves clarity, strengthens brand messaging, and enhances conversion rates by making the user journey more intuitive.

🔹 Personal Account Page Redesign

Key Enhancements:

✔ Stronger User Identity Linkage: User profile, earnings, and referral status are now grouped together to increase relevance.
✔ Larger Benefit Numbers: Key figures like 20% commission and 30% discount are enlarged for visibility.
✔ Improved Sharing Flow: Sharing options are now side-by-side and appear above the fold for better accessibility.
✔ Revised CTA Strategy: More intuitive prompts for inviting friends and monitoring earnings.

4. Web & H5 Interaction Flow Optimization

​The redesign also addressed end-to-end user interactions, including:

  • Withdrawal process improvements (e.g., linking PayPal, viewing transaction history, tracking progress).

  • Clearer earnings & tax reporting visibility.

  • Optimized call-to-action placements to guide users toward sign-ups.
